As the industry prepares for the launch of Great British Railways (GBR), there is an opportunity to improve operational efficiency, reduce cost and improve passenger services.
The rail industry continues to face number of challenges, from digitalisation to changes in the franchise model and ticketing, which have impacted on how providers operate and make a profit. The arrival of Covid-19 and the decrease in passenger numbers has only made this situation more difficult.
